I'm a digital and film photographer with a documentary approach and editorial style with over 8 years of experience in the industry. For as long as I can remember I've had a camera in my hand. From my dad's film camera, to my blue point in shoot that was my prized possession as a child, I have always loved taking photos.

I always knew I wanted to have a creative job, so I decided to go to college for graphic and web design. It wasn't until I graduated that I purchased my first DSLR camera that started all of this.

Once I realized how much I loved photography in a professional sense, I started working at a Minneapolis agency as a creative content producer where I directed, photographed, and produced productions for clients ranging from hospitality, fashion, food and bev, tech, to pro atheletes and influencers. From there , I moved on to work at a company called soona, who specializes in fast casual content for all. I was a post production editor for two years where I specialized in high end retouching for all types of clients. Images were focused for use from ecomm to social media.

I am grateful to now be a full time photographer, doing what I love for a living.

I am a documentary style photographer for the laid back couples who don't take life too seriously. I’m all about genuine connection, the simple things, the quiet moments. That is what I strive to capture. The blissful blurry moments that go by so fast because you spent them dancing around and laughing, or the quiet cozy moments curled up at home with a glass of wine. When it comes to photos I ask what makes sense to you? Where do you feel the most alive? Where do you feel the most like YOU?I want to capture this season for you and represent who you are as a couple as authentically as possible.

Ever had an awkward experience in front of a camera? Same. I get how nerve-wracking it can be so I do everything I can to make the session as natural and comfortable as possible and I promise to never put you in a cheesy forced pose.

At the end of the day I want us to leave a session feeling like we’ve known each other forever! I am not looking to just be a vendor, show up, snap the photos and leave. I want to get to know you so I can capture you accurately in the most elegant way because that is what you deserve from a photographer.

Anything on Bravo or Mad Men

I spend my time with my husband, Kevin. We live in a mid-century home in Minneapolis that we've been slowly bringing back to life. Our little family wouldn't be completely without our black cat, the bub.

Our passion for exploring has introduced us to so many beautiful places & people over the last eight years. We never pass up the opportunity to check out a new antique store or coffee shop. When we aren't traveling we spend as much time as we can outside paddle boarding around the lakes and on rainy nights we're curled up watching Mad Men or classic horror movies with a glass of bourbon. In 2019 we launched a creative studio, Even Odds Design Co. for all of your branding needs.

Jillian created a comfortable and calm environment during my fiancé and my session. Her work is beyond beautiful. Her personality is infectious. I would ask her to capture anything and everything personal in my life - ANNIE

I was born & raised in Rosemount, MN. I went to school for two years in Jacksonville University then finished up at the Art Institute with a degree in Graphic Design & Web Design.

My husband and I met working at Urban Outfitters in 2015. we bonded over our love for early 2000's emo music. We got married at JTH Tucson November 3, 2022.

I'm a Virgo with an enneagram 6 & I am an INFJ

My drink of choice is an old fashioned & I'll never say no to Thai food or tacos.

I'm happiest near the ocean (or anywhere with palm trees really).

In May of 2022 we purchased our first home. A mid-century rambler that we've been slowly bringing back to life.

The shows I always have on a loop are Mad Men, Schitt's Creek, Letterkenny, What We Do In The Shadows, and Vanderpump Rules.

My style is focused on real moments. Nothing forced or staged.

I have been using Pixieset since I sent out my first gallery over seven years ago, so it was a perfect fit for me to become an ambassador. They offer beautiful client galleries that are easy to organize, and easy for the clients to use which is my top priority. Not only do they look clean & professional, clients are able to purchase prints, albums, and more straight from the gallery. Pixieset handles all of the production and shipping so there is no extra work on your end. Recently, they've launched a beautiful website platform, booking tools, contracts, and more. If you're looking for a seamless platform to cut down on your admin time, this is it.
